Black Gold is a dark red, late season cherry. It blooms late, and avoids spring frost problems, is self-fertile and produces firm, good-sized fruits without cross-pollination. Developed by Cornell University, yielding heavy June crops of cherries with excellent flavor and resistance to cracking. Green foliage turns yellow to orange-red in autumn.
