Austrian Crescent Organic Heirloom Potato is so delicious it sells out fast, so order early! It has smooth, yellow-tan skin and light yellow flesh with medium depth eyes. Austrian Crescent has prolific yields that run as long as 10", some weigh as much as 7 oz. They have excellent salad qualities; firm and waxy, and also delicious simply boiled or steamed. The only downside to this one is it has a bit of a bitter skin, so peel and steam, or serve chilled in salads. The Austrian Crescent is a good potato for boiling or steaming, providing a cream colored flesh that goes well in salads or side dishes. This potato may have a small crescent shape, or also be somewhat straight in appearance. Store unwashed fingerlings at room temperature in a dark, cool, airy location, such as in a basket or open paper bag. Do not store in a sealed plastic bag.
