Indian Woman Yellow dry bean is an Organic Heirloom bean. This small oval bean was grown and passed down for generations in a family that came from Sweden and finally settled in Montana. It is our earliest dry bean and a customer favorite. Indian Woman Yellow is a short plant with delicious yellow-buff colored beans; yields well. It's incredibly creamy and the flavor is somewhere between a Pinto and a Black bean. Yellow Indian Woman is another one of those beans that needs only sautéed onion and garlic to bring out its best! The Yellow Indian Woman is ideal for slow cooked dishes, because is holds its shape while cooking. Plant directly in the garden, 6 seeds per foot in rows 18-36 in. apart when danger of frost has passed. To use as a dry bean, let pods dry, then spread out to complete drying; remove beans.
