Brown Tempest Organic Garlic (Hardneck) is a purple bulb that has a nice shape and medium size; bulb is husky-brown with a slight rosy blush, with no striping. It produces approximately 6 cloves per bulb. The flavor of Brown Tempest is fiery when eaten raw, but the burn mellows when cooked. Perfect for every garlic lover; this variety was collected in Asia. Garlic survives bitterly cold winters underground and then grows rapidly when the weather warms in spring; bulbs in summer. Garlic needs fertile soil with lots of organic matter.
