Evison, and is a dwarf plant that sets absolutely enormous blooms over a long, LONG season. Add to this the rich tones of violet and magenta with which the blooms and anthers are colored, and the result is a feast of overabundance that earns this new Clematis its name.The flowers begin in early summer, each measuring 5 to 8 -- yes, 8! -- inches across. Colored an intense shade of violet, each petal is then generously striped in neon magenta. The central cluster of anthers matches these magenta tones and adds a bit of yellow for additional luster. The flowers continue all summer and fall, arising so profusely that this plant can seldom be found out of bloom!The plant itself is just 3 to 4 feet high and 3 feet wide. Ideal for covering unsightly stumps, scrambling across a bit of garden floor, or trailing from a hanging basket, it is extremely robust and bloom-happy.
