Sometimes called a Maidenhair Tree, the Ginkgo Biloba is a deciduous tree, which means it loses its leaves in the fall and experiences seasonal changes. The Ginkgo?s leathery green leaves will turn gold with the season changes to fall. This tree is very hardy; it survives in city centers and is the only known representative of an ancient tree family dominant 200 million years ago. The Ginkgo tends to do better in warmer areas, and should be watered during the dry season until it reaches 10-20 feet in height. Tree shown in picture is 15-25 years old. Be aware that since the seasons have changed, the leaves on your deciduous tree may be turning colors or falling off the tree. This is normal and should not raise concern. Your tree is still alive and healthy!
