Also known as a Chinese Dogwood, this deciduous tree is among the hardiest of flowering dogwoods available. Come springtime, the Kousa Dogwood will have gorgeous, 3? to 5? white blossoms covering it. In the summer, it produces red fruit similar in shape to a raspberry. Lustrous green leaves cover this dogwood, which is a shrub but can be trained to become a tree. The Kousa Dogwood grows to about 20 feet in height. Be aware that since the seasons have changed, the leaves on your deciduous tree may be turning colors or falling off the tree. This is normal and should not raise concern. Your tree is still alive and healthy!
